Baby and I headed for town yesterday. Initial decision was K Box, and we arrived there bright and early, where its still pretty quiet. Somehow, when we got there, it was closed, BOO... so decided on HK Cafe :

I've heard a couple of positive comments about this movie. But honestly from day 1, nothing bout it attracts me ( trailers, posters and reviews, etc.. ) and after watching this draggy and horrendously mundane movie, I haven't change my mind.Its all about these aliens, which the people of Johannesburg call "prawns". They kinda like invaded the area and bla bla bla, civilians trying to get rid of them. Government moving them here and there. Coming towards the middle of the story, its this man, Wikus Van De Merwe, he is this MNU middle manager. He made a trip down to District 9 to get the Prawns to "sign" a document for them to be moved to another camp. During the process, he got himself infected by this substance and turn him into an alien! And so, he became a wanted man because his partial alien and the MNU could use him for some kinda research thing and the story boils down to his fight for survial.
I didn't give my fullest attention to this film (;
